Kowloon Walled City, a 2.6 ha (6.4 acre) settlement in Hong Kong which was home to 50,000 people. It was demolished in 1994.

My house sits on a 38.5 acre lot. Two people live here. I can't even picture how 50,000 people could fit in a space smaller than my property, let alone live there. That's just amazing.
The people using umbrellas to walk through dark alleyways between the buildings, forever-leaking pipes above, inspired a visual of the dystopian cities in sci-fi movies like "Blade Runner."
one of my fields is about 6/1/2 acres. the countyI live in is 920 sq miles with a population of 1245 if the population all seven counties neighboring the county, I live in were to stand in my field plus the population of my county, there be 36,000 people with only a 2by4ft spot to stand.
And folks wonder why conditions in central US cities are tied to you know who........without 5th floor metal working shops.
