Hi everyone,

For the first time I tested the potential of a 3D printer within a machinist's workshop: I immediately saw the possibility of creating the cogwheels I needed for metric threading with my Colchester Bantam Mk1 (inch version)...

and here you see the results : I built a wheel with 21 teeth and 16 DP, and since my lathe was configured in this way for inch threading, I threaded a 5/16-18 screw with the wheel created with the printer, nothing broke and the small wheel is the most stressed,

so if the smallest one remains, the other larger ones will resist even more, the larger wheels will be used for metric threading and I didn't think, for example,

that the grooved hole would be so precise after 3D printing and would fit in like this well in the splined shaft of the lathe !!

I hope it is a video that can stimulate the imagination of many as it stimulated mine!!
