A lot of excess mass was added to the vice unless he plans to use it as an anvil.
I really like the removable dovetailed jaws, But I see 2 very major weak points for a vice of this size. First off everything about maintaining true squareness to the movable jaw is relying on the 4-inch channel iron, the second item would be the base plate is not proportionally as heavy duty as the body of the vice other than those two items it is a great vice

I think Parker did it better & bigger back in the day (1944) Especially in proportion:
