Large size adjustable transfer punch

A project I wish I had never started led to the need to transfer the location of a 22 mm hole. My usual transfer punches only go to 1/2" and my expanding punches (top in picture below) don't go much farther. The commercial spring-loaded one-size-fits-many only goes to about 3/4".

The largest of these goes to 1". Pop it in a collet, drill and ream for a close sliding fit for the one-size-fits-many punch and Robert's your mother's brother.

The new hole wiped out the center but that was quickly restored with a slightly larger center drill. Now the tool serves two purposes-a goal for which I always strive when making tools.
