Lathe Chip Guard / Eye Protection

Made from tempered glass, 250 x 200 mm, thickness 4 mm with 2 holes 6mm dia and magnetic base indicator holder. Had different idea how to attach it to arms/holders when I ordered glass to be cut, drilled and tempered. But use of indicator holder was the simplest solution.

    Cheers,

I don't like the idea of tempered glass. Among the several reasons I think the largest is when it does break, you'll have this mess to clean up.
Tempered glass breaks for the oddest reasons and kind of explodes.
One suggestion is to put clear packing tape on one side to make it easier to dispose of.

While glass may offer a clearer view if it is to be used in this manor it should be shatter resistant laminated safety glass
