Lathe Spindle Hand Wheel Addition. The end of the rod that fits into the lathe spindle is designed to grip
the inside of the spindle when you tighten the nut in the middle of the hand wheel. you can then use the hand wheel to spin the spindle and the chuck to align your chuck for what ever purpose you want. and you can remove it when you want to put some rod thru the spindle. :O)
