    Hello Frank:
    For straight brick wall to be stable it needs to be 3 bricks thick ( or 1.5 brick lengths). So a serpentine brick wall uses fewer bricks overall. I designed one for a gate here in South Carolina.

    yep, and it's a good thing he has gloves: impossible for best labourer to leave no chips within the stacks let alone the sharp edges that retain some.
