I'm quite sure the tail end of the line was just lying there unsecured for the guy to pick up at the last instant.
Does not seem to have much range for such a big gun. But that is a large rope it is pulling behind. It would be better
to tie off the end before shooting.
I have a dummy launcher for dog training. It will shoot a 7" canvas "dummy" about 200 feet with a .22 blank.
I got it because my old throwing arm is worn out. I have tied nylon sting to it to shoot, then pull a larger rope
for tree and roofing work.
