Locking crescent wrench - photo

I've been using the Knipex version in three sizes for a little over a year. They are the bees knees in handling anything that you need a good grip on but don't want to mark up.

I had one that had a hex hole in the worm and there was a pull out/push in hex button to lock the worm. It was handy so I left it laying on a trailer fender when I drove off for someone else to find and love.

Ouch! Knipex my friend. I check on Amazon.de from time to time they have them on for a decent price.

In case anyone isn't aware of them, specifically the Knipex pliers wrench -- they come in six different sizes, and though they are a bit costly, I've been using them for many years and very strongly recommend them. Fit and finish are perfect, and they actually do everything they are claimed to do.
