locking spring at a direct action hand pump

Today ma wife was asking for greasing the hand pump, because of the squeaking from the handle. Due to the fact, the that the old Pin had been replaced by a nail, which cold be removed only with the use of two pliers. so I made a locking spring using a stainless steel wire with a
diameter of 1 mm.
