This makes my little hobbyking pulse jet look inadequate. But boy o boy I love the way they feel in chest when they are running. It’s a lot like being at top fuel drag races or the super high power tractor pulls. That’s the best comparison I can give to explain the sensation and feeling.
How about a link to the drawings - if there are any.
Excuse my ignorance, but I see what is described as a jet engine clamped to a workmate which seems to be resting on a timber baulk. Why does it not take off?
Given its size, the produced thrust would be in the 40-60 lbs range,
bolted and clamped to a Workmate tied to a railroad tie, it should apparently be good enough.
A bigger issue could be the glowing stainless setting the table top afire,
and the neighbors complaining: its blaring could easily be heard 5-6 mi away. YMMV.

Thanks. But what I assume to be the air intake, not the thrust, is glowing almost white hot, which I don’t understand, either.
