Concept is great. Beats tying down an angle plate any day.
However & perhaps; length/ contact of perpendicular mating surfaces of bar in jaws, and attached to back of hard jaw, should be repeated to that holding the "Z" axis, not 90° to them. When you swivel the ram, tram is lost. This would require additional effort to get square part features.
And don't use these on whichever side your oiler is located.
