Hello fellow diy tool makers!
Here's my home made long reach scriber.
I turned the body from a piece of 8mm steel rod recycled from a large photocopier and the point is a large sewing needle pilfered from the wifes craft room.
I drilled a 2mm hole for the needle and it press fits in without any adhesive.
