Longitudinal and Cross Power Feeds for G0602 Type Lathe / Job completed

    Hi guys,

I finally completed this job. Planned to do it by the end of May,
but thanks to COVID19, I stayed 2 months longer on board and
    arrived home one month ago.

As you can see from the video, it works. And it works flawlessly.

I believe that all details except automatic threading stop can
be seen and understood from the video clip.

Automatic stop for longitudinal feed works perfect when turning to a shoulder.
    Repeatability / accuracy 0.05mm (0.002").

Automatic stop for threading will be described in another post / video.

    Cheers

    UPDATE
    ======

I originally planned to install tumbler for connecting gears on lead screw and feed shaft. These 2 gears were supposed to be 18 and 22 teeth gears. But never made it and found that it wasn't necessary at all. That's why I used 20 and 22 teeth gears without tumbler. Today I found another gears; 18 and 24 and installed them.
Also prepared new Thread and Feed Chart, which still needs to be printed and laminated. But anyhow this chart will be posted once I complete my next project: Additional Screw Cutting Gearbox (Norton type).

    Few pictures attached.

    Cheers

Im now looking to either make a R8 collet block so i can use R8 collets in my lathe or....I was thinking about the 5c collet that axcepts er32. witch should work fine for the r8 collets/r8 tool holders that I need/ may need too put in my lathe. I have 5c&r8&er32,er11&er16 already along with all kinds of stuff. but it sure would be nice to be able to put my r8 tooling in my lathe sometimes.especialy if I need to make some "adjustments" to it. I may need to install a bushing Z& size to the end of the r8 collet for end support..but the er stuff dont have it, so...Im still thinking. $35 for a hard pressission c5~ER32 COLLET SURE IS A LOT EASIER THAN MAKING ONE.!! i DO REALIZE i WILL HAVE TO WORK ON THE NUT AND GET RID OF THE"CAMLOCK" THEY HAVE TO RETAIN THE ER COLLET AND POSSIABLY ILL ADD A HARDENED WASHER IN THERE TOO.ILL WAITE TILL I DECIDE JUST WHAT I WILL DO TO SEE IF I NEED THAT WASHER. ANY IDEAS OR THOUGHTS ON THIS?

I almost bought ER40-125 (95) Collet Chuck. That one would fit my back plate. It was quite cheap in China, but heavy and I already had more than enough steel in my suitcases. In the meantime I installed motorcycle brake at my chuck, actually to back plate and then it wasn't an option at all. Here are couple of pictures of this collect chuck. But if I have to install it, I will only buy ER40 - A clamping nut and ER40 collets. Would fabricate collet holder in situ, so TIR (total indicated run out) would be almost zero.

    Cheers
