Looking for ideas
Hello,I am new to the forum and if i posted this in the wrong place please forgive me.Well here goes,I want to cut the center out of a rim and machine a new center to change the bolt pattern.I dont have a plasma cutter and a torch just isn't accurate enough.I do have a large 220 volt drill that turns slow rpm's.I am thinking of maybe using this in some type of fixture with a end mill or some type of cutter.I am interested in any input pro's or con's on this project. Also i plan on using this more than one time so i don't mind putting a little work into it.Thank You in advance. Stan, Id have thought it would be far easier and safer in use to make an adapter plate basically round plate drilled to bolt to the hub as standard pattern but with a second set of drilled holes to which you can mount studs of relevant quality to match the new bolt configuration
