Looking for parts

Trying to find this kind of magnet, a flat square sandwiched between two steel plates. Need the poles on the thin sides, not the flats. Cannot find the proper name for it, in order to search.



Should be about 1cm/0.5in - 2.5cm/ 1.0in on a side.

IIRC, I've seen that type of magnet used in magnetic cabinet latches. Try searching with that phrase.

I have tried, and can't find an exact match. So far all I have found have two attachment "ears" on a rectangular housing. The one I am looking for is square (drilled in the center for attaching, although that is not a requirement for what I need).

Remove the rivet and this might work...

Your description encouraged me to search for "sandwich magnet" and "magnet sandwich" and some similar images came up. "Channel" and "assembly" are also appearing in the results.
