    Machinist Jacks from scrap

I have this really great nut and bolt store in town and just can't resist going there whenever i need parts.

They had a table full of metric parts that were surplus from a pocket bike manufacturer. In addition to many sizes of cap screws, chains, bearings, etc there were these hex bolts threaded on both ends. One large and one small. Well I knew I could find a use for the hex stock some day....Any how my first project was to take 4 of them and make up some jacks. They were cut so that most of the stock would be used to make one jack.

    Cheers, JR

I always scope out the surplus bins whenever I go materials hunting. Usually there is something there that absolutely cries out take me take me, someday you will need me.
