    made a large slide hammer

I had a spare quick change drill chuck from a broken drill, and bought the 3/8th rod for a couple of dollars. The weights were just around unused, one is a hand grenade, one is a flywheel from a treadmill motor and the third is a chunk of mild steel I just found in the street walking to work.

To make it I drilled out the chuck to match the tap and dies along with the rod. The chuck had some kind of reverse thread I couldn't match so it was rethreaded. Then threaded the rod, and bent the triangle handle in a vise by clamping and hammering. I plan on picking one weight and welding the chuck on and the gap in the triangle handle for some more strength. Pretty simple but the chuck will allow for a good number of tools hooks and nails to be clamped on to.
