Hi, might be in the wrong place. Mods feel free to move it. I picked up some magnetic holding blocks. But the magnetism is about gone.
Can these be "Recharged"? If so, how please.

If these are the common type with the on off switch, you will have to remove the magnets to recharge them or make an electric horse shoe magnet and with the switch turned on apply DC power to the horse shoe and leave it on long enough to re charge the magnets.
Hi, No these do not have the lever. Would you put the block between the horse shoe legs? Or just on top of the block?

Without the lever you would just charge them like regular magnets. They probably have 2 magnets with a bar across the top to increase pull so you would make a horseshoe electromagnet and put one leg on each magnet. A picture would help...
Thank You sleykin. They do have what looks like 2 drill marks on one end. I'm thinking those are the magnetic source.
I do have a rather large rare earth magnet, 3x3x2, you must be really careful with it, can smash fingers! Could that be used?

I checked out the K&J web site and came across this;

Alnico horseshoe and bar magnets can become demagnetized if dropped, stored without a keeper, or by repelling other magnets. Instead of throwing them out, you can remagnetize them using neodymium magnets. Stroke the north pole of a strong neodymium magnet from the center of the alnico magnet to the south pole end of the horseshoe several times. Then, stroke the south pole of the neodymium magnet from the center of the alnico magnet to the north end of the horseshoe several times. This will recharge the worn out alnico magnet. If you reverse the directions, you'll re-magnetize the horseshoe in the opposite orientation! Check out our D4X0-ND to help identify the poles of your neodymium magnet.
