    Nice project!

    I've noticed, when I weld too close to rare earth magnets, they'll get too hot and lose their magnetism.

    Will putting them in the freezer restore the magnetism?

    Unfortunately, no, since the magnetic domains rotated while hot then cooled in their final direction. I suspect a powerful electromagnet can be used to reverse the process, but might not be worth the trouble for a small magnet.

    Thank You. These were just standard speaker magnets and as you can see the welding didn't affect strength much, if any. Works great!

    Many magnets are bad at higher temperatures. A client we helped design parts for uses decently sized N42 magnets and they're only good to 80C and then start forgetting where North and South are.
