for the auto oiler, how about use the movement of the yellow portion to accuate a pump piston to pump the lube. or add a cam to the nut that holds on the sprocket and use it to pump.

I liked your second use of chain lubrication better. I also wanted to make a Mobius screw to supply oil to the grease fitting.
