In my portrait studio I use embossed business cards that I print and emboss.
They have no embossing showing on the back so they are 'extra cool'.

I like your registration setup.
I’m familiar with duplex and even triplex business cards but I’ve never watched someone mounting each individually.
A contrasting color paper is often used for a nice looking edge effect.

I do have a paper stack trimmer, but it doesn't have a good adjustable backstop, though I could 'easily' add one by....

Yeah, the contrasting colors can look pretty chic.
I’ve usually seen things like this done as a run so the dies are often made about as large as the budget and press will allow so the cards can be printed and embossed as many at a time and then trimmed after lamination.
But I like your get 'er done method.
Beautiful heavy business card that will stand out in the crowd. It might just be a few more steps for me however.
