Making a hotpot in the third world - video
-
Wow, that's amazing. I really enjoy these videos where people using crude methods can come up with something spectacular.
-
5 axis CNC machines are really cool but I would rather watch these guys.
Here's one for 2500 Rupees. About 35 bucks US.

The only "third world" part of this is working on the ground instead of up on benches. This is mass production with tools well fitted to the job.

Not a whole lot of measuring going on, either. Just exhibiting a considerable amount of practice. Even the guy cutting the boards on the table saw. No guards, and he's still got all his fingers, too. I wonder how many times they've gotten in 10,000 hours of practice?

I guess these guys didn't get the memo about safety shoes! Amazing work though.

I hate to be contradictory, could man on the table saw need his fingers, so he minds them; just like the lathe operator utilizes his feet and hands; there being no workmens' compensation admin in place?
Monthly we pot-luck with other old house owners. The video has me considering one of these, just to counter the snob; always a treasure to exhibit.
Yeah Pat, very nice.
Now, watch this video.
Not the normal me; fine things draw attention by nature, don't need highlighting.
