    Making a New Half Nut (split nut) for an Atlas/Craftsman 6 inch lathe

    I got an on Atlas 618 lathe that had originally been a "mica undercut" version. Though it has a lead screw, it has no half nut assembly at all (Just the lever). Here's how I made one.
