    Making Stampings Visible

The serial number on my bike was stamped before painting. This makes the numbers almost invisible. I wanted to see them just long enough to record the number. Here is how I did it.

Thank you for the tip. I have used an old lipstick before, but this one is actually less messy to cleanup afterwards.

I went back to clean it up and was reminded that Elmer's white glue dries clear. Nothing to clean up :-)

If you don't clean it up it will fill the indentations & chances of being able to do that again have just become slimmer.

    Wildwilly,

It isn't a problem. I wet the area with a rag. and the glue wipes out. Then I can apply a fresh dab of Elmer's.

Another good tip, thanks, Rick. This would be a PVA glue, I suppose?
