I cook and clean, but I just wipe potatoes, cut off rot and then cook them in their skins.

Removing the skin of a potato removes most of the nutrients. Just wash them Use a kitchen scrubby or your bare hands to wipe away any of the eyes and cut away any scars or rot
Never try to tell me it can't be done
When I have to paint I use KBS products

That makes for awkward mashed potatoes, double stuffed potatoes, scalloped potatoes...etc

On the rare instances that I eat at a restaurant when I order baked potato, I get the strangest looks when the first thing I do is to proceed to cut it up into small cubes the turn it into mashed before adding things like black pepper butter chives and bacon bits. 'Why not just order mashed potatoes they ask'. "Because no one knows how to make country style mashed I tell them. They will use those flakes or powdered stuff, so their servings are as white as a movie star's teeth no taste and no nutrients

I learned about potatoes from the girls I loved. The Colleen’s family peeled their spuds when they were cooked, my wife’s family sliced then mashed their potatoes with plenty of gravy.

Not so, most of the nutrients are in the body of the potato, most of it's fiber content is in the skin but not all of it's fiber.
