Manual Numerical Control Ball Turning Program

This user friendly program runs on a TI-83 Plus calculator. You input the finished ball diameter and the finished diameter of the shank attached to the ball. The program then guides the user in all machining operations.

If you are curious about how CNC actually forms a surface or if you just want to cut balls on your lathe, this program may be of use to you. It can also be used to rough cut the ball before using a form tool or a ball turning attachment.

    For details, see

I just posted an upgraded version of the program. It now handles balls, crowned ends to round stock, and can put a "full radius" on a disk. Same URL.

    Ken,

You are welcome. I do hope I get a few beta testers so the program can be improved.
