Food Saver's now Mattress Saver...wow. Not sure I want to buy a mattress on line now. May not ever recover from having 96% of the air knocked out of it.

If the press doesn't kill the rats, bed bugs and other vermin that can infest even a new mattress, the vacuum will.
Mould might survive and the springs will probably feel much older. Interesting to note the vacuum power of 1 atmosphere being able to keep this mattress compressed when only contained in a relatively thin plastic bag.
If we had a consignment of mattresses packed like this, and we tightly filled an un-pressurised aircraft cargo bay with them, and they all lost their vacuum - what a job they would be to unload.

I guess I'll stick with my 20 adjective description name inner spring mattress for now
Never try to tell me it can't be done

Those compressed mattresses don't contain any springs, you simply can't press and roll a sprung mattress like that. (Note: I did use to sell furniture and beds for a living)

Ahh they are using a different kind of springing system. Yeah that is just a plain crappy way to make a mattress and packing it like that isn't going to do it any good either.
