Nice work, but:

To correct the crooked cut:
a) you need to adjust the twist of the blade by acting on the blade guide.
b) you must keep the blade perpendicular to the support surface (or vice versa).
If you then place a weight that pulls the surface through gravity, the saw cuts automatically and without assistance.
Naturally, a mechanical limit switch must be added to avoid sawing the vertical stop.
