    Title is not accurate, the perp did the pulling of the axle off. The police caught the vehicle and the after the vehicle had stopped, the perp backed up and got longer runnig starts until he reached the metal failure point of the rear axle attachment to the body. Pulled that rear axle right off.

    I have only a dim recollection of having heard of a grapple like this. Are they really a thing?
