That swivel design is awesome!
I own a very old TAIG MICRO/MINI MILL, it was their First CNC designed UNIT. I never could learn G CODE, so I simply put home built handles on the Servos, which fortunately had a double axis design.
But I quickly learned to FORGET TRYING to angle the headstock, as you point out, the tightening would often CREATE an adjustment, and I finally trammed it perpendicular to the bed and left it that way!
Two decades later, the entire servo control box is so outdated that I would need to redesign the wiring from the old VGA monitor PLUGS, to USB", GET NEW SOFTWARE,
And all that is fine, if I was the AGE that I was when I bought it, but I will always just twist handles!
