This rubbish doesn’t belong on this site, it is better than that. Totally impractical design, waste of a good micrometer, mug walls are far too thick to drink from, and they are sharp, aluminium would get too hot and burn your lips, it would also sink the heat away from the drink and cool it too fast, and the micrometer barrel would get in the way when drinking. Reckon it’s a fake photo too as there appears to be nowhere for the bottom end to clamp onto, it’s just hiding around the back out of sight, not clamped anywhere.

That's some harsh words Moby, bad day?

I've seen plenty of humor thrown around on this site, so your comment does't stand mate and having a sense of humor doesn't mean the work isn't taken seriously.

TBF, Altair has actually come up with a rather neat gift idea that would make great use out of dead mics, so he's getting a thumbs up from me for sharing this one 👍

I like it!!! although I could not drink from it unless I had a straw...it's to heavy for me to pick up...and knock out my teeth.

It's unique enough. Though it wouldn't be good for drinking from, I'd use it on my shop bench or desk to hold pens, pencils, 6" scale, etc.

yes thats the best usage as well as a paper holding down machine.it could also be used as a oil retainer with a oil brush in it for brushing oil where you ant to brush it. or possibly cutting oil...or a aluminum lube oil...or bronzelube or...goose grease. for greasing your squeaky geese. kinda likie snake oil for squeaky snakes...or fish oil. but Im not sure your wife would like to keep baby oil in it for when the baby is squeaking.
