Hi Aussie, nice conversion, very professional. I have converted my 10 inch lathe to treadmill and am in the process of converting a metal bandsaw.I have tried using a cheap scr and bridge rectifier but could not get a clean signal-brushes arced. I have used a control from KB but very expensive. Couldn’t catch your link to the control you used can you enlighten me?
Thanks
Dick

you could try adding smoothing capacitor and bleed down resistor after the rectomfrier to clean up the dc :)
