Model Cannon and carriage

Recent posts on model cannons have reminded me of a 5 inch bronze barrel I made about 50 years ago when I first got a lathe. The reason it never got finished is quite amusing, I test fired it in my fathers garage with some black powder and a Jetex fuse with a 5/16 ball bearing, well it worked so well my father confiscated it after he heard the explosion, I think I overdid the charge and it scared me a bit and when we moved house some years later the ball was still embedded in the garage door.
I assumed he got rid of it but bless him when going through his effects I found it in a drawer, it looks nicely aged now so I think I will finish it as a display item.
