    Modifying a 4-jaw chuck mounting

The 6" 4-jaw chuck had a type A2-5 short taper mounting, but I needed it to fit an adapter I had made to the back of the 5" 3 jaw chuck I have.
TO do this all I needed to do was to make a 0.125" deep bore 3.875" in diameter into the back of the 4-jaw chuck then drill and thread the adapter to accept the mounting bolts.

Few realize handy aspect of temporarily mounting a small chuck in a larger machine, especially an independent 4 jaw.
