Montana Building
Hello to all of you out there. This is Sabertooth from the last great state of Montana. New here to this site so looking forward to all of the great ideas on here. I am into hunting, fishing, camping, wood working, and a whole lot more. I have several projects planned for this winter, one build a long bow, two is to build a small boat and three is to build a portable refrigeration system for the back of a pickup or to modify a trailer for warm weather buffalo hunting. Thanks and have a great fall.

Hi Sabertooth - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking - sounds like you'll fit in well here :)
What kind of boat are you looking to build? Have you seen our new site BoatBuilds.net?

Hi Sabertooth,
Welcome - glad to have you here! :welcome:
I found myself in Montana years ago after a weather-related emergency landing in my homebuilt plane and spent the afternoon as a guest on a combination working ranch/hunting lodge. Great people and a beautiful state!
What are you shooting on the buffalo hunt? Tell me you've got a black-powder Sharps in .45-70 and I'll be right over!
The long bow project sounds interesting. Let's see some pics as it develops.

Thanks for the warm welcome and I will post pics as I go. I used the 45-70 sharps last year and it worked awesome:) First is the long bow and I will be using Mulberry and Bamboo, then I am thinking of a small Maine Guide canoe type for the boat so I can use it on the high country lakes. Stay tuned and thank you again for the warm welcome.
