    And that’s why they have the lanyard attached to the kill switch- which nobody seems to use!

    so faced with this scenario, what is the methods to safely stop the boat?
    obviously get people out of the way, but then what?
    is putting a rope under the boat and tangling the propeller an option?
    using another boat to crowd it against the shoreline an option?
    what?

    I hear people laughing from the bank. I had a friend that was swimming in a lake and got run over by a moron that had no business in a boat. It was a small john boat with about a 5 hp motor. He took about 150 stitches in his back because the idiot ran through a swimming spot. Nothing funny about people swimming around an out of control boat.

    On a separate note, I wonder if someone grabbed the hero's jet ski before it got too far down the river?
