    If it is balsa wood, perhaps, but I do not believe it.

    Balsa was the first thing I thought of. Anything else would total the bike. However, balsa may be heavy when it's first harvested.

    Balsa is in such high demand I did not believe you could harvest logs of that size they are usually much smaller (if it is balsa).
    I noticed your from Flora, I lived in Meridian from 61 to 81 and still have family there, then moved to Hattiesburg to attend USM and finally here in Louisiana.
