Somebody was not paying attention to what he was supposed to be doing. Had plenty of time to stop, but didn't ever notice... Motorcyclist can't gripe about car drivers in this case. Idgit. Lucky he wasn't going any faster, and he still may be significantly hurt... At least the dog got away clean!

How do you fall asleep on a bike? He changed lanes, so he could hit the car.

He may very well have been asleep or intoxicated. He may have just drifted into that lane unconsciously. He made no attempt to slow or stop, but appeared to be passed out when he hit.

After watching the video for the fifth time, I'm beginning to think the guy may have staged the "accident" in hopes of collecting insurance. Hey, I make no claim that the guy is smart.

He was looking at either the guy mounting a motorcycle behind the parked car or the two women pedestrians in the upper left corner. You can see his helmut turn back to center a few feet before impact.
