looks like he is going to need a new screen and digitizer for his cell phone and the main board, as well as a new case, might as well toss in a new battery while he is at it

seems like the gate did exactly what it was designed to do - stop people coming into the property without an invite.
Ouch still, but so many questions about should the rider be on that road at the speed they were doing, permission to be there, etc...

Not to mention his "intelligence" for not having scoped out the track at a much lower speed to determine if it would be safe at that sort of speed. If all he crushed was his phone he's way luckier than I'd care to depend on.

The gate saw the biker before the biker saw the gate.

I went through that crash frame by frame. It appears the bike tool the brunt of the crash. Of course he almost went over the bars but he was very lucky to have been able to get up and walk around. There is an a couple of obvious cuts to the footage toward the end so it has been edited.

My question becomes, why show us video of phone, and not the damage to the bike?

Can't speak for why they showed the phone, vs bike, but can say if he wasn't lucky enough to be able to stand up and walk around, he would be up the creek trying to call for help. If the bike is totalled, he's walking back.

I know a guy who had to have his spleen removed because of a dirt biking accident! Happened when he was in his teens. He's fine now.

Gate painted green... very hard to see with all that greenery... and the lines of the gate hid in the curving road...
