Same questions here, seems who labeled the picture was confused.
But a four position glove box, that is unique. Unclear how the far opening is accessed with that housing/ flywheel/ hoses interrupting seating or rotation.

A poorly staged photo since it is clear the foot peddle is behind him

Didn't notice the foot control. Even with 4 positions, they are sealed. That's going to be fusion welding, or possibly brazing with preforms, like most heat exchangers.
