As a rather experienced DIY amateur my main points of interest are woodworking, welding, boat design and building, and of course sailing (including offshore ocean passage making).
I also have a strong electrical engineering experience since it was my main occupation before retiring.

Interesting that you would mention passage making; I'm making my way through Beth Leonard's The Voyager's Handbook right now. Gotta keep working toward my dreams :)
