New from CA.
Hello Everyone,
I wanted to introduce myself and say that I enjoy making tools. I wish I would have found this site years ago. I completed my apprenticeship as a journeyman MoldMaker in the early 90's and I am currently working at a large Mold Shop programming and running Wire and Sinker Edm Machines. I have a fully tooled garage that consists of
Series 2 Bridgeport Mill with servo power feeds on X,Y and Z axis and I just recently added a new DRO. I also have a Cadillac Lathe with DRO and a 5C collet closure. I have a Harig Super 618 Surface Grinder which I am currently machining some new Rails for the magnetic chuck. I purchased a 24 X 36 surface plate which is mounted on a stand with wheels. I have a lot of ideas and tools that I made through the years and look forward to posting them on the site. I wanted to thank Ken for fixing my account for me allowing me to introduce myself. Keep up the good work and let's make some tools.

Hi wdwrd68,
Welcome! Glad that we were able to get you up and running.
Sounds as though you've got a fantastic shop setup. I'm sure you'll enjoy perusing our Machining category page, as you've certainly got the hardware to take best advantage of all the great ideas you'll find there.
When you're ready to share some of your own homemade tools, we'd love to see them. Please post them directly in the Homemade Tools subforum. We'll add each one to the database, as well as to your builder page on the site.
Non-tool items should be shared in the Not a Tool, but Homemade subforum.
