Hi Thomas - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
So, what's next on your build list?
(BTW, feel free to link to your business website in your forum signature.)
Hi Thomas,
Welcome! :welcome:
What sort of homemade tools have you built for your garage business?
Ken
Hello Thomas. Welcome to the forums!
Thanks for the welcome. As far as building things in the garage door business, not too much. Just a couple of things like a spring spreader (able to spread the coils in order to get a block on) a stand for my portable band saw. I can use it as a cut off saw. I have a Miller DC 185 electric start welder mounted on a small trailer. I have added an awning to it to have some shade. But I am 6'-0" in height and didn't want the awning to have too much wind drag. So I have it mounted in a low profile. I am able to lift from the back at an angle so I don't bump my head. The build was making an arm with a 1/2" threaded rod inside 3/4" 14ga tubing that go inside 1" 14ga tubing and I use my cordless impact driver to spin the 3/4" nut to raise it up and down, much safer than just putting a stick under it to hold it up. That's it for now, I have to go to work, thanks Tom.
