Hi All,
I have been enjoying looking through the many pages of fine work you guys have beautifully made in metal, wood etc.
Myself I am a hobbyist working with machining metal. I had not worked in a machine shop, very little wood shop most of my 65 years, now I am 72. I became hooked with machining while benchrest competition shooting. Guys were trying to convince me to chamber my own barrels. Well, with guidance from a machinist (also a benchrest competitor) I acquired a Grizzly G0509G large Gunsmith lathe. Then I picked up a Jet Variable speed 3hp 49' table. I then upgraded both machines with Newall DRO"S. Now that I really had the bug I acquired a Jet 7" horizontal band saw, Buffalo #18 drill press, Vertical band saw (do not know the make of it yet) two belt sanders, Grizzly buffer/sander, Balder 6" grinder, Harbor Fright grinder, Diamond horizontal mill, Plasma cutter, Tig, Mig welders, 18x24 surface plate, an Engraver and the unsurmountable tools for the machines, and yes still will never be done.
Over these years learning the machines and the tools has been a wonderful experience, I look forward to acquiring your drawings and making projects useful for my shop.
I plan on in the future to contribute some projects I have made
Bob
