I agree completely that the best stuff (not just Jeeps!) is built for oneself, not purchased. I've built lots of different things (though mostly vehicles and guns) for myself over the years on exactly that premise.

I always have a few projects going. Sometimes they depend on freebies that I get... Got some live-edge cypress free from a local sawyer and made this last weekend...

My Jeep is a 91 Cherokee that I got free after it hit a deer... I have done quite a bit to it, starting with Bodywork obviously! It has a custom front bumper, winch, 4.5 inches of lift, 35 inch tires, a 4.10 Dana 44 locked front axle with high steer and a TNT truss and a Ford 8.8 LSD in the back and I am working on the body as I am getting it repainted for the 2nd time for Father's day. Here is a pic from when it was on 33's...

On the tool front my work in progress is a tablesaw and router station with drawer/cabinet storage and the ability to use as a handtool workbench as well. I have a limited space so multi-use tools are a must. I'll post up pics when it's done.
