New to group

Im just tired of companies trying to rip me off for their tool/tooling. I grew up in garage and can fab pretty much what I need to get a job done. Now that Im self employed and running a small business, Im really needing to save where I can. Equipment fabrication will be the most useful.

Plus many of the companies no longer make the great tools that we saw 50 years ago. What are you thinking of building first?

You are absolutely correct about the quality of tools these days. I have tools from my grandfather and my father that have outlasted even those expensive manufacturers of tools today. First on the docket is going to be a polishing vibratory tub. I have been looking to do this myself for quite some time, was just unsure if would work like the professional built ones until I saw the post in here. My tub will be a bit bigger than the one he built, but the same basic design. When I get into this, I'll document prices, material, time and any suggestions that may help with the next build/builder. Im definitely ready to stop outsourcing certain aspects of customer projects.
