New to this group
I am Mike Waldron newly joined, from Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire UK.
Formerly a Design and Technology teacher.

Current projects:
Grinding head (similar to David Haythornethwite's) to be mountable as ether cross-slide drilling/grinding or stand alone small surface grinder with X/Y table.

Hi Mike - welcome to HomemadeTools.net :welcome:
Sounds like you're one of us. :)
We have a good page of many of Harold Hall's tools here: Homemade Tools built by Metaler - HomemadeTools.net
How is the grinding head build going so far?

Hi Mike and welcome!
I would sure like to see some pictures of your Grinding Head when you get it finished.

Thanks guys for your welcome!
Currently I’m recovering from a heart attack, so am off sick until actual retirement, so not a lot has got done!
The garage is too cold at present, so it’s down to railway modelling at present.
It’s a hard life!!
The base plate and retaining clamps are done, along with the pillar and socket.
The sides, from and back of the tiling head are part fine.
I’m hoping to be able to attach it to the cross slide for working with material in the chuck, and the X/Y table for some small surface grinding and between centres sharpening.
