Here is my English wheel. It has a 31" deepth made from 5x5x3/8 tubing. As you can see I even put on a digital readout on it to get to the same deepth each time. I made the lower anvils from some 3" dia. 416 stainless steel. It was harder to machine but polishes up nice.( I used the SS because it was only $0.35 a lb at the scrap yard). I went with the upper adjuster and the angled lower for more clearance. The upper wheel is just on old steel steering wheel
