    New guy here

Hey all, Ive been reading random posts from here for a while and thought it time I finally join up.

First off let me say though that you guys have some serious talent and knowledge here that I am in awe of. I am a master auto tech, grew up around cars, even owned my own hotrod shop and from that all my techs at the bus dealership Im the service manager at call me a "fabricator" but I always shrug them and my family and friends off when they compliment me on various things that tinker on. I tell all them, no theres guys out there with real skills that truely know what their doing...and those guys are you all.

I like to just make random tools, gadgets and piece together things to make other things. I think my favorite was when i was over in Iraq as a contract mechanic and we had no parts and little tools but plenty of time on our hands and guys from all different disciplines all contributing (sometimes for work and sometimes for boredom).

Anyway I look forward to reading all the new posts and (hopefully) being able to contribute where I can.

Actually Jon, i have always been mesmerized by cnc tools...never have known how to use them but want to...really bad lol. I used to to do 80-90% metal fab work but since buying my 1st house now i have been doing a little more wood work around the house (building barn doors, sliding and swinging 1/2 house doors to keep the dogs out of the living room etc.)
